Voice of Vietnam (VOV) is the national broadcaster, operating six thematic channels covering news, culture, music, ethnic minority programming, and international broadcasts in over a dozen languages. VOV3 is particularly popular for its music and entertainment content. Regional stations in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang serve large urban audiences with local news and V-pop music. Vietnamese radio uniquely blends traditional genres like ca trù, quan họ, and cải lương with modern pop, rock, and EDM. FM radio remains widely listened to, especially during commutes, while online streaming is rapidly growing among younger audiences.
